One of the main characteristics of Chinese graphic pieces, especially those with greater cultural value and that are easily recognizable both in the East and in the West, is their minimalism and the use of Chinese ink as a means of expression. The novel "Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation" is one of the most famous contemporary Chinese works having already been translated into several languages and with more than 3 adaptations in animation, live action among other things.

It focuses on an ancient cultivation world, located in China where the use of ink and magic is widespread. The "Righteous" clans are characterized by their elegance and by following the path of good with strict rules of self-regulation.

For this reason considering that much of the story focuses on the definition of what is "Right" and how following this path can generate complications in the life of the cultivators.

We chose to use the concept of  "A pure canvas can be stained with blood" for the interface design.

With this concept in mind, a moodboard was made with Chinese graphic pieces, official elements of the series among other things. The idea is that all the references are minimalist, where there is the use of superimposed layers in  monochromatic tones with very specific color accents. Also, it is important the use of ink and organic elements that refer to traditional Chinese art.

For the color palette we opted for shades of gray, black and accents of red and yellow mainly, being gray, white and black the predominant ones in the interface following the concept of "Pure Canvas".
